Evidence Based Terms
Students should be able to respond to questions in complete sentences. They must flip the question and answer it. Then refer back to HOW they know it to be the right answer and explain it. Evidence -based terms are expected in their answers as well.
This will be something we work on ALL year and in 5th grade too.
We will use this kind of responses with all subject areas and topics.
Normally if there are multiple lines for an answer, it requires FARE.
*NOTE: Sentences should not begin with "because" or "and".
I finally got all students entered correctly! The document below shows the students' log-in and passwords. I will keep this post up until Monday.
I still plan to send home a "Techie Sheet" that has all log-ins and passwords for each child.
Please make sure that your child is reading at least 20 minutes every day! Talk with them about their books. What do they like about it? Why did they choose that book? Be a reading role model. Make sure your children see YOU reading and talking about what you read.
Students will be responsible for filling out their own Book Log.
Purpose- teacher analysis and guides instruction
-Types of books read (students' interest and help with expanding their genre interests)
-Amount of time read (check students' reading habits)
-Amount read (check students' fluency and stamina)
-Way to celebrate their reading lives!
Reminder: Spelling lists will be sent home on Thursdays. This sheet should be signed and returned on the following Thursday.
If a student is receiving failing grades on Spelling Tests, that student must return spelling practice each day of the week.
Spelling Tests will NOW be on Thursdays due to the Target schedule.
