Students were so excited to hear about the severe weather that she has experienced. They were encouraged to ask questions and the most thought-provoking ones won a Weather Channel backpack! Students were given the task to prepare for an "audition" as a weather team for the segment called, "Climate Kids". They had to analyze the weather maps for the past week and create, as a group, that day's weather map. They included high and low pressure systems, hot and cold fronts, temperatures, and possible rain. The group members each had jobs to write the script, direct the segment, video, and give the forecast. Click on the link below to download the 5 weather forecasts featuring 10 meteorologists from our class. www.dropbox.com/s/1tjfabvd3999nke/Weather%20Forecasts.zip?dl=0Videos:Interactive Weather:Great websites to visit:Weather experiments and games: www.weatherwizkids.com Explore different types of weather: www.exploringweather.com Great pictures, activities, and videos: https://scied.ucar.edu/webweather Includes games, projects, experiments, and images: www.sciencekids.co.nz/weather.html Awesome kid-friendly site from NASA with lots of interactive play: http://climatekids.nasa.gov/menu/weather-and-climate/ Quick kid-friendly weather report based on zip code or location: http://kidsweatherreport.com Weather Tools
