Testing: April 11-17Website for more information: http://www.gadoe.org/Curriculum-Instruction-and-Assessment/Assessment/Pages/Georgia-Milestones-Assessment-System.aspx Please look over the attached references. I'd highly recommend you talk it over with your child and try the practice questions.
Writing is a big portion of the test. There is extended responses as well as constructed responses. The attached shows those types of questions and includes HOW they are assessed. Please have your child practice a couple and use the rubrics to evaluate.
The following attachment explains the break down of the overall scores as well as gives sample questions. Please review it and spend some time with your child practicing the wording of questions.

One FANTASTIC way for your child to study all subjects at home is KAHOOT! All that is needed to create a free account is an email address & password. This is an educational resource with endless review quizzes that your child can play against you, a sibling, a grand parent, anyone at home to practice & review the material we have covered this year. I would recommend adding ‘5th grade georgia milestones review’ or to any topic/subject/skill that you search for quizzes for. This is a website/resource that is used nation wide, so not everything on it is applicable to the content we are covering in 5th grade if it was created by a teacher in another state. https://kahoot.com/welcomeback/ Of course, Moby Max is another great way to practice for the state testing. There is a testing tab.
