November 14-18th
We will be celebrating Compassion Week. This is a fun week all about teaching the students that we ALWAYS show compassion and respect for everyone regardless of our differences.

Mon. Nov. 14th- "Mismatch Sock Day"- Wear two of your silliest, different, mismatched socks for everyone to see! We put two different socks together as a pair to both warm our little feet, this represents that we don't have to be the same in order to still learn & play with everyone we meet!

Tues. Nov 15th- Crazy Hair, Don't Care Day"- Come to school showing off your favorite craziest hair styles! We don't mind when our friends look, talk, or do things differently than us. We all do things in our own unique way & today represents that it is totally OK!

Wed. Nov. 16th- "Show our Compassion Day"- Let's all show our compassion for each other today! This day is all about saying kind words to our friends and teachers, lending helping hands when you see someone in need, cheering up a friend who may be feeling down, and sharing your compassion with EVERYONE around!

Thurs. Nov. 17th- "Caps for Compassion Day"- Come to school wearing your favorite hat! You may wear a baseball cap, winter hat, or one with sparkles around the edge and this will show to everyone that you have taken the compassion pledge!

Fri. Nov. 18th- "Rock Your Pink & Yellow Day"- Everyone should come to school rocking their pink & yellow from head to toe. Pink is the color of compassion, and yellow is the color of respect. We want everyone to know whether near or far, that here at Mountain View we ALWAYS respect EVERYONE no matter what our differences are!!
